Cincotta Shipping Agency is operative since
1946, when Capt. Bartolo Cincotta, born in Eolie Islands (Sicily) where
his father owned and managed cargo sailing ships, took up his residence
in Sardinia and opened Cagliari office after many years of service in
the Italian Merchant Marine.

In 1977, upon Capt. Bartolo's death, the company was fully
taken over by his son Vincenzo, transport engineering graduated and
also Ship's Agent and Customs Broker. At present Mr. Vincenzo Cincotta
is the Chairman and Managing Director while his wife Franca deals with
financial and pubblic relations matters of the Company. Their daughter
and son, Cinzia and Giammarco, both certified shipagents and graduated
respectively in Economics and in Law, have an important rejuvenating
role in the family business.
Based in
Cagliari, Cincotta Shipping Agency is present in all Sardinan ports,
whith branch offices in Sarroch, Portovesme, S.Antioco and Portotorres
and a network of reliable sub-agencies in Oristano, Olbia and Arbatax.
In 1997, a new branch office has been opened in Lipari (Sicily) to
re-establish a throwback to family's own original land.

The main activity of the company is the assistance to
vessels calling the Sardinian ports on behalf of the Owners and/or
Charterers (Oil Tankers, Chemical Tankers, Gas carriers, Dry cargo
vessels). The Agency also takes care of cruise ships in cooperation
with local tourist organizations in Sardinia.
